Every year, CHS choir students jump into the holiday season with Madrigal. Madrigal is an evening of singing, dancing, and dining for parents and the public to view with a celebratory tone. These performances are acted out as if the students and public are in medieval times, greeting everyone with the pre-title of either “Lord’ or “Lady”. There are a total of 5 performances, and each show contains a meal and dessert provided by our wonderful lunch ladies, along with delicious wassail (an English Christmas time tradition, wishing good health on its consumers. It is served hot, combined with spices and an apple flavor to sip on). This year, the performances fall on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, kicking off December and traditional Christmas festivities. The Show Choir program takes the lead with these performances; however, other members in different music programs participate in becoming the roles of jesters and string players.
Ticket Sales will be online only this year and begin on this Friday, Nov. 12. Tickets to the general public will begin at 5 p.m and will be held until they sell out or Friday, Dec. 3, the day of the first performance. They go fast, so make sure you get your tickets while you can, you wont regret it!
