Chesterton’s Twilight Parade Preview

Get into the Christmas cheer next Saturday with Chesterton’s wintry festivities!

 

Chesterton will be hosting its annual Twilight Christmas Parade, as well as other events November 27th, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The evening will entail a tree lighting ceremony, a visit with Santa, carriage rides, a retail open house, and the European Market. 

 

The Twilight Christmas Parade will take place downtown Chesterton and will begin at 5:15 p.m. Numerous floats, fire trucks, horses, and walking groups will walk through downtown Chesterton. The parade will conclude with Santa waving at everyone on top of a fire truck! 

 

The carriage rides will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be offered for free by Buggies and Things. The ride will follow a course throughout Chesterton’s downtown area and will last for roughly 10 to 15 minutes. 

 

The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the gazebo in Thomas Centennial Park. Following the parade, children will be able to meet Santa in his house which is also located in Thomas Centennial Park from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

The European Market will be located in its usual location for shoppers to browse the stalls. The market will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

 

As for the Chesterton Retail Open House, local establishments will offer product sales and extended hours for shoppers to browse.
