NEW E-learning hub launched

Dallas Howard, Sandscript author

In an exciting launch for Chesterton, they recently prepared to launch an e-Learning Hub. Despite being called e-learning, it has a different meaning from what students are familiar with. The “E” in this e-learning, stands for Early Learning.

The e-learning hub will be led by two individuals, Amy Curtis and Tonia Kitchel. The idea behind the e-learning hub is to learn more about their child and family’s strengths and weaknesses and use effective strategies for managing their child’s behavior through communication and general extra-curricular activities, along with learning opportunities provided through the e-learning hub page.

The e-learning hub can hopefully bridge the gap between educators and families caused by most parents’ not seeing eye to eye with actions and changes being made by teachers and staff. By providing resources and, more importantly, communication, the e-learning hub is set to launch on January 26th, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Chesterton Middle School by entering through Door 8. The hub is open to all Duneland families with children ages 0 to 5, or those that are expecting and interested. If more information is needed, it can be found here.
