Later this month, CHS cheer and lifter tryouts for the 2022-2023 season will take place. All incoming freshmen through seniors are invited to tryouts. Athletes and parents must attend the parent meeting on Tuesday, April 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the LGI in order to participate in clinics and tryouts.

Tryout clinics will be held on April 19th, 21st, 26th, and 28th. These dates will be used to learn basic stunts and a majority of the tryout material. These clinics are also an excellent way of obtaining a feel for the program and the practice environment. 

Tryouts are scheduled for May 2nd, 5th, and 6th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Chesterton High School’s cheerleading squad is committed to promoting school pride, loyalty, and spirit. All home and away football games, as well as all home boy’s and girl’s basketball games, feature the cheer teams. The squads also compete in the UCA game-day competitions.
