PSA- with the weather growing colder and chances of snow increasing, Chesterton would like to remind the town residents that there is a seasonal snow parking ban within the business district. This ban will go into effect starting at 12:01 a.m. Friday, November 18th. 

This ban prohibits cars from parking on the following streets from 12 to 8 a.m. during or following a snowfall over two inches or more:

• Broadway between South Calumet Road and Sixth Street
• South Calumet Road between Porter Avenue and the Norfolk Southern railroad grade-crossing
• Second and Third Streets between Broadway and West Indiana Avenue
