Juniors: New SAT Prep at CHS

Prepare for the Upcoming Mandatory SAT in March!

Saanya Agarwal, Co-Editor in Chief

On March 1st, all juniors at CHS will be taking the SAT as a part of Indiana graduation requirements. Moreover, great SAT and ACT scores open doors to new college opportunities and scholarships. In order to prepare for these tests, CHS is once again inviting Dr. Scott Carlin to teach his SAT prep course this February.

Dr. Carlin is the founder and CEO of Dr. Carlin’s Test Prep and College Consulting. He graduated from Buchanan High School, the University of Notre Dame (for his B.A.), and Michigan State (for his Ph.D.). For the past 18 years, he has been working with high school students all around Michigan and Indiana for SAT and ACT prep. Moreover, he also provides numerous students with college consulting services, such as essay help, resume writing, and scholarship applications.

Students are welcome to join Dr. Carlin’s course on the following Tuesdays in February: the 7th, 14th, and 21st. Classes will take place in the Large Group Instruction room (LGI) at CHS from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM

The course costs $269, and students must bring a notebook, pencil, and calculator. Students are also recommended to buy a copy of the Official SAT Study Guide, 2020 Edition (this can be purchased on Amazon for roughly $20-$25). Nevertheless, Dr. Carlin will be providing students with virtual PDFs of everything covered from the book.
