Since the winter sports season has officially come to an end, to represent these athletes we are honoring them with a recap of their senior nights!

Senior nights are always a bittersweet experience. It recognizes the seniors who have dedicated their time to their activity, but it also reminds us that their time here is coming to an end.

This year’s Chesterton cheer team has 9 senior members. These include 4-year members Caroline Dardeau, Leonidas Manta, and Aerianna Wolford; 2 year members August Lovitz, Connor Kintzel, Walter Smith, and Tobrin Brimberry; 1-year members João Marcos Queiroz Teles and foreign exchange student Christine Sathitamorntham. We will all miss our seniors next year so if you see them in the hall make sure to say congratulations!

Natalie Jones has been a gymnast her whole life, and three years of her high school career. Jones cheered her first year, but knew she was destined to fall back. Her all time high beam was a 9.5, she has worked so hard and she is succeeding. She will be attending Purdue next year to major in marketing. Help us congratulate our gymnastics senior, Natalie Jones.

Chesterton’s wrestling team honored male wrestlers James Fanzo, Brent Gengnagel, Connor Katsafaros, John Lively, Ben Shaffer, Aidan Torres, and Aidan Weaver. Female wrestler, Johanna Meyers and managers, Maisa Kaiser and Paige Kabacinski. The wrestlers ended with a win over LaPorte to finish their celebratory night!

The swim senior night honored both their boys and girls seniors in a meet against the Portage Indians. The celebrated seniors were Marie Bourlant, Rylan Higdon, Colin Kostbade, Ethan Moody, Gavin Nagdeman, Scottie Pejic, Olivia Piunti, Daniel Streeter, and Aidan Tharp. For both the boys and girls, the Trojans swept the Indians with more than triple the amount of total points. Congratulations to our outstanding seniors for such a great night!

The girls basketball team celebrated their phenomenal seniors during their home game against the Hanover Central Wildcats. Ingrid Hurst, Bridget Raffin, Giana Raffin, Chloe Wisniewski, Addison Schneider, and Amani Brown led the Trojans to victory on their special night. Each and every one of these seniors have been remarkable players both on and off the court and will be dearly missed. Make sure to congratulate them on their immense dedication and leadership this past season!
