From the moment the curtains rose, the Chesterton Show Choir set a tone of energy and elegance that captivated all in attendance. The concert featured a theme of Get Up and Dance. In addition to the incredible vocal performances, the Chesterton Show Choir also showcased their remarkable dance skills. Their choreography was executed with precision and grace, adding an extra layer of visual appeal to the concert. The synergy between the singers and dancers was truly a sight to behold. The Fall Concert was a showcase of the students” talents and a testament to their unwavering dedication to the arts. It was evident that they poured their hearts and souls into their performance, and the audience responded with
resounding appreciation.
The Drifters had one song performed by themselves, “You Make Me Feel Like Dancin.’” After the performance, the mood in the auditorium was already electric with the crowd loving the first song of the night. After completion of the entire show around 7:45 that night, the members of the show choir expressed their views on the night as well as their love and dedication to the activity.
“I think the show choir performance on Sunday went really well for me! I tried my absolute hardest to dance and sing as well as possible. When I went out on that stage it reminded me of why I love being in show choir,” junior Emma Bondra said.
The Sandpipers had one song performed alone, “Get Ready, Dancin’ In The Street,” which included soloists Kassidy Miller (12), Sofia Cunningham (12), Alivia Pulsoni (12), Jane Maddex (11), Hailey Nevious (12), Karleigh Pawlsyn (10), and Ava Cunningham (10). The amount of talent shown by the soloists was incredible and put in people’s minds that this season would be even more extraordinary than the last.
Then the two groups joined to perform two songs together, “Square Root of Impossible” with soloist Hannah Loving (9) and Can’t Stop Dancin’. Combined, the dynamics of the male and female voices of the groups add to the dynamic of the songs performed.
With the season just starting the anticipation for what the Chesterton Show Choir has in store for the remainder of the competition season will remain high.
