The Trojan Guard has made it halfway through their season, which means that they will showcase their performance at their annual Community Night. Community Night is an opportunity for Trojan Guard members to showcase their many talents, whether they’re part of the marching band or Color Guard.
“Community night is basically an all-day thing where we have a performance right before our state performance where we just show the community what we are performing,” senior Ally Novreske said.
This year, their theme is “Dancing in the Dark,” which is starkly different from the past performances put on by the Trojan Guard. It begins with uniform and traditional dancing that slowly descends into a maddeningly chaotic, yet aesthetically pleasing mix of movement.
Featured musicians in ‘Dancing in the Dark’ include Freshman Giacomo DePasquale, Juniors Makayla Erickson and Archer Lohman, and Seniors Adrian Dooley, Matthew Haubold, and Mike Livovich. Drum majors this year are Lydia Comfort and Kelsey Mason.
The Trojan Guard will also host its annual Community Night Performance at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the CHS Stadium. The event will be free and open to the public.
