Finding the perfect costume is quite difficult, especially finding one for you and your partner. Out of all the popular couples’ costumes out there, I have narrowed down a list of couples’ costumes that would be perfect to dress up as this Halloween!
- Flynn Ryder and Rapunzel
Tangled is probably one of the most popular Disney animated movies out there! You can not go wrong with this duo. All you would need is a purple dress for Rapunzel and a tan khaki pants with a blue tunic for Flynn and there you have it! Other accessories such as the iconic frying pan and maybe even a stuffed chameleon will make the look even more recognizable. This costume is super cute and great if you love Disney!
- Johnny and Mavis
Zing! Johnny and Mavis are another adorable couple from the hilarious animated film, Hotel Transylvania. Finding the costume pieces might be a little difficult, but definitely still achievable. For Mavis, all you would need is a black dress with red and black striped stockings. For Johnny, all you would need is a similar jersey to the one he wears in the movie, I would recommend anything with yellow and green, and his khaki “jorts”. Don’t forget his bright sneakers! These two are especially cute and add to the Halloween spirit.
- Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
If you have been paying attention to the entertainment side of the news, you have probably heard of the romance sparks between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. These two superstars will create a very easy and creative costume if you can’t think of something to dress up as. For Travis Kelce all you would need is one of his jerseys and for Taylor Swift, any number of her tour outfits could work for this costume. I would personally recommend one of her latest outfits from her most recent tour, The Eras Tour. This is a simple yet amazing costume that will definitely give you and your partner compliments all night long!
- Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet
For the literature lovers this one’s for you. From the amazing classic novel Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, is an incredible costume duo. To create the elegant costume all you would need for Elizabeth would be a white dress with some, if you have some, white gloves. I would recommend placing your hair in a bun with decorative beading braided in. For Mr. Darcy any suit would work, maybe add a coat or suspenders to top off the look. This idea is an absolute gem or should I say “pearl”.
- Christine and Erik
This one is not only for the literature fans, but also for the musical fans. The Phantom of The Opera is an outstanding musical, filled with incredible music and costumes. Which makes for an amazing costume! For Christine, a great starting point would be white poofy dress, with accents of sparkly hair pieces throughout your hair. Maybe even have a rose as an accessory. Now for Erik, or the phantom, I would recommend any black suit with an attachable black cape. Don’t forget the best part, his iconic white mask and you have the perfect couples costume for Halloween.
These costumes are amazing last minute and will definitely turn some heads this Halloween season. All of these costumes can easily be gender bent as well, so feel free to mix up the clothing as per preference! Happy Halloween!
