Purdue’s Women in Engineering Program is giving 9th and 10th-grade girls the opportunity to explore their options in the engineering field. There, they will engage in hands-on activities and engineering challenges that are related to their unique interests involving engineering. They will have the opportunity to connect with student mentors and develop a relationship with the group members. Lunch will be provided for attending students. This event will take place at Purdue’s West Lafayette campus on Saturday, February 24 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm EST. Space is limited and students wanting to attend are strongly encouraged to register for a spot ASAP. To register, visit https://apps.ideal-logic.com/purduereg?key=QHR9-T57TS_K9KH-5PTF_7ebfa78304b9c.

Hi! I am Shayani Hall and I am in my senior year at CHS. This is my first year writing for the Sandscript and I am the new Features Editor for this year. I am a member of both groups of the CHS show choirs. I love to dance, sing, paint, and bake. I am also a huge music lover of all genres exept country. I chose to join newspaper because I love to write and I would like to share that with others! I am super excited to be a new writer for the Sandscript.
