This year, Strack & Van Til is helping out local schools through a program called Apples for the Students. Through this initiative, Stracks will be providing free educational supplies to be used in the 2025–2026 school year. And this year, Chesterton High School will be joining the many schools that already benefit from this charitable event. The fundraiser started on September 1 and will extend through next year to March 31.
This seven-month-long endeavor is one of the most uncomplicated ways to raise money for CHS. It’s an easy way to show support without doing anything more than you already do, especially if you already shop regularly at Stracks! Collect all of your receipts from Strack & Van Til and make sure they’re dated September 1, 2024 and beyond. The receipts can be from any Stracks location across northwest Indiana, and they don’t have to be yours. You can collect your friends and family’s receipts as well.
Inside the CHS office, there’s a collection box where you deposit the receipts. And that’s it! For every dollar spent at Stracks, Chesterton earns a point towards earning school supplies. CHS will collect all of the receipts from throughout the year. The last day to turn them in is April 15, 2024. The school then turns them in for a total point value and places an order for free educational equipment at the end of the year.
If you’re looking for a way to benefit your community without spending extra money, this is the way to go. It’s a simple, easy, and efficient fundraiser to take part in. So don’t forget: save your receipts!
