PSAT test day will be held on October 16, 2024. Students are going to be emailed their PSAT testing exam locations before the test date, as well as signs for students to look for in the main entrance and cafeteria at CHS, for their exam room. For most students, this will be in their advisory class. Students in grade levels 9th, 10th, and 11th will be taking the PSAT test on this day. All 12th-grade students will participate in a college career readiness day. This includes attending their internships, focusing on college essays and applications, CTE programs, volunteering, job shadowing, and college visits. These college visits include virtual and in-person visits. If 12th-grade students are not using this day to focus on college readiness, then they are expected to attend school. The PSAT test is given through the College Board and is a preparatory test for students in Indiana.
When the bell rings at 8:10 am, students will report to the room that they are assigned to take the exam. The exam instructions will take place at 8:30 am, students are not allowed to enter the exam room after this scheduled time. The PSAT/NMSQT testing will end at 11:00 am for students without testing accommodations, and 1:30 pm for students who require testing accommodations. A lunch will be held from 11:20 am until 11:50 am. B lunch will be held from 11:35 am until 12:05 pm. C lunch will be held from 12:10 pm until 12:40 pm.
