Canadian Pacific always decorates a train to send from Canada to Franklin Park called the Holiday Train, which Chesterton has gotten to see for the past two years. And it is coming to Chesterton again this year. On Tuesday, November 26, the train is supposed to be coming around 4:47 in the morning (estimated time). They are passing through Downtown Chesterton, where some local businesses will be open in light of this event. Tethan’s Candy and Confections will be open between 4 and 6 am to buy candies or warm up while waiting. Either by the Chamber building or inside Tethan’s, Trackside Coffee will be doing a pop-up, selling hot coffee to help warm you up. Other businesses may also be open for this event, but none have posted about it. So be sure to set your alarm early so you do not miss out on this train!
