The Elder Scrolls games is a series that has taken the world by storm and changed the gaming industry forever. In 2006 the company Bethesda released the fourth game in the Elder Scrolls series. This was the release that marked the growth in popularity of this series. Elder scrolls IV: Oblivion is known for its immersive narrative and worldbuilding, characteristic of many games in this series. It’s no question why Bethesda decided to remake this masterpiece of a game considering that it is still popular to this day. Oblivion Remastered is available on Xbox, Playstation, and PC. The current prices are $49.99 for the standard version and $59.99 for the deluxe edition which includes some extra content as well as a digital artbook and soundtrack app. Whether its new players or people here for the nostalgia, this remake is one that has been highly anticipated.

This game takes place in a province of the fictional world Tamriel called Cyrodiil. The player is faced with the challenge of stopping the cult known as the Mythic Dawn and their attempts to open a portal to the demon realm in which the game is named after, Oblivion. This game offers many side quests, factions, and open world content for fans to experience. 

While the story and narrative stay the same in the remake, there are many new additions to gameplay mechanics. Not only have the graphics improved significantly, but the combat has become more engaging as well. There are also several new features that have been added such as sprinting, more thorough character customization, new voice lines and animations for NPCs, as well as new and improved content for DLCs. Aside from the main storyline, there have been a handful of new side quests added to the game as well as new unique armor sets to be obtained.

Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion Remastered has been very well received from fans as it has been highly anticipated for a while now and did not disappoint. Bethesda has taken us back to Cyrodiil once again to experience the enchanting worldbuilding and immersive story fans once loved. The new charming graphics and fresh content is sure to leave players excited for whatever Bethesda has in store to amaze us with next.
