Starbucks Festive Drinks

Nathan Montoya, Sandscript Author

Starbucks has festive drinks, new and old, that arrived on November 4th, 2021. However, not all of the past drinks have made it into the new list. Specifically, the Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte did not make the cut, but the Peppermint Mocha, Carmel Creme Brulee Latte, Irish Cream Cold Brew, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, and Chestnut Praline Latte are returning. The new drink and treats this year will be the Non-Dairy Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte, Reindeer Cake Pop, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Cranberry Bliss Bar, and the Snowman Cookie. Each drink or sweet has a variety of ingredients contained in it, and here’s what each drink/sweet contains.

The Peppermint Mocha, returning for its 19th year, is made with Starbuck’s signature espresso, steamed milk, sweet mocha sauce, and peppermint-flavored syrup, all of it topped off with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls.

The Non-Dairy Iced Sugar Cookie Almond features Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast, sugar cookie syrup, and almond milk topped with red and green sprinkles.

The Irish Cream Cold Brew has Irish Cream flavored syrup, topped with Vanilla Sweet Cream Foam with a strike of cocoa powder.

The Caramel Brulee Latte combines espresso, steamed milk, and rich Caramel Brulee Sauce, topped with whipped cream Caramel Brulee Topping.

The Toasted White Chocolate combines the festive flavors of white chocolate mocha sauce and espresso, and steamed milk, then topped off with whipped cream, sugar sparkles, and crispy white pearls.

The Chestnut Praline Latte combines espresso, steamed milk, and the flavors of caramelized chestnut and spices before being topped with whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs.

The Reindeer Cake Pop is a vanilla cake with chocolaty icing, then finished with a festive red nose and antlers.

The Cranberry Bliss Bar is a blondie cake base, topped with sweet cream cheese icing and tart dried cranberries, then garnished with white orange drizzle.

The Sugar Plum Cheese Danish is a cream cheese filling surrounded by a fluffy danish that is then topped with spiced sugar plum spread.

Finally, the Snowman cookie is rather simple, being a simple cookie, with white icing in the shape of a snowman.

All in all, the beloved and world-renowned coffee juggernaut has provided some new flavors this holiday season, to go along with their classic favorites!  Whether you are into the unique holiday flavors like peppermint or stick to the classic sweeter flavors of this time of year, your local Starbucks will assuredly have some type of beverage for your liking.
