Chesterton Speech Continues Winning Streak At Warsaw

Warsaw Win Brings In New Hopes For New Year

On Saturday, January 15, the Chesterton Speech team traveled to Warsaw High School to compete at the Warsaw High School Invitational.  The team continued their winning streak from the weekend prior at Fishers Forensics Festival by taking first place with a score of 148 points.  Following Chesterton, was Plymouth High School in second place with 122 points, Bishop Dwenger in third place with 107 points, Warsaw High School in fourth place (88), and Logansport in fifth place (54).

“I’m very impressed with my team’s performance this week at Warsaw.  We went in with great goals, and achieved even better successes.  It’s great to see such a hard-working group of people succeed like this.  I’m so proud of my team,” states the week’s double champion, junior Jackson Dudek.

The Chesterton team was incredibly successful with 24 entries that ranked in the top eight competitors overall and six total tournament champions.

The team has expressed how this continuous success is the current driving force helping them work as hard as possible.  They hope to continue this streak in the weeks to come before postseason. 

“I’m very happy with my own performance this weekend at Warsaw too.  I impressed myself in ways I didn’t expect, and came out with lots to work on for post season coming up.  It was overall a great tournament for me,” states Dudek.  

On Saturday, January 22, Chesterton Speech will travel to Mishawaka, Indiana to compete at Penn High School in the Penn Speech Tournament.
