After five years of playing football, senior captain Jordan Hughes announced his commitment to Carthage College on January 18, 2022. As a Division III commit, Hughes is ready for the collegiate speed, intensity, and competitiveness acceleration. “I am most excited to play against Augustana College in Illinois during the season”

He is planning on majoring in business administration or civil engineering at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Hughes will spend a majority of his time on the Art Keller Field, with top notch facilities in the beautiful location of Kenosha. “Carthage has a beautiful campus right on the lake, all of the coaches are very nice and upfront with you, and the facilities are amazing,” Hughes said.

In his 2021, senior season, he played 11 games resulting in 34 tackles, 19 of which were solo and 15 that were assists. Hughes had two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble received, 49 fumble retrieved yards, and one defensive touchdown.

Hughes said that his favorite season was this past year, his senior season, due to his leadership as captain, being named Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman, and having an all around excellent year statistically. He added that a victory against the Penn Kingsmen during his junior, the first in school history, in sectionals was the icing on the cake to his high school career. Hughes is currently playing basketball for Chesterton, the number one team in the state, and is focused on hanging a state championship in the gym this coming March. Hughes signed his letter of intent on February 5th, an hour before a suiting up for a game against Warsaw.
