Soccer DAC Champs Once Again!

Boys soccer team wins 5th consecutive conference title

Brody Mehling, Editor of Sports

The CHS Boys Soccer Team has had a phenomenal season so far with a shared DAC Championship for proof of their dominance. The Trojans have been a force to be reckoned with for the past few years and have kept that up this season with their fifth straight conference title.

The Boys have had a great season up to this point with an overall record of 12-2-2 and a conference record of 6-1. Their only losses came against conference-mate Crown Point and #1 ranked Zionsville. However, they didn’t let those losses discourage them, and have played incredibly well in the 5 games after going 3-0-2.

The Trojans are now focused on winning sectionals again with their first game against Penn being on Tuesday, October 4. They played against Penn earlier in the season to a tie score of 1-1. If the boys defeat the Kingsmen, they will play the winner of South Bend Riley versus Michigan City in the second round of the state tournament.

Come out to South Bend Adams to support the Trojans if you want to see great saves by Ethan Boedeker and some amazing goals by Chesterton’s strikers. The game will start at 5 pm (Eastern) so make sure to get a head start out there, and remember it’s the postseason, so bundle up!
