Kooper Sutherland, Author

A shock for Star Wars fans around the world has been leaked to the news! It is reported by Deadline that Damon Lindelof, best known for his work on Lost, The Leftovers and Watchmen, is co-writing a script which will be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, a director that also was involved in the making of two episodes of Ms. Marvel.  Lindelof is working on a brand new Star Wars movie, and it now has a director.

The film in progress is described as the most momentous project in the movie industry, there are many mixed feelings going around the Star Wars fan community. Star Wars original writer George Lucas has stated that the sequel movies, “Are not part of the Skywalker Saga.” This begs the question of how fans will feel about this. The sequel saga didn’t exactly live up to the expectations set by watchers, the new film is set to carry possible sequels of its own along with it.

Since this film will not technically be part of the Skywalker Saga, it is probable that a few original characters will make an appearance. This is rather mysterious, considering the majority of the original actors are 60 years old and above, as well as the fact that most of them vowed never to take part in another Star Wars movie again. This means that if these characters do make an appearance in the film, the team would most likely have to use CGI to insert them in the movie. A new Star Wars movie will not only be a shock, but a very possible disappointment for fans across the world. However, when this new Star Wars movie is released in the future, fans will hope for the best.
