Chesterton Twilight Parade Festivities Approach

Time for fun community celebrations

Audrey White, Opinions Section Editor

With the winter season closing upon us, Chesterton will be holding its annual Twilight Parade in the downtown area. People will be able to enjoy the parade and other festive activities on November 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

People will be free to take a complimentary horse-drawn carriage ride, watch the tree lighting ceremony, visit Santa in his house in Thomas Centennial Park, and of course, participate in the parade.

The tree lighting ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m. Families can come to watch a tree come alive with lights in the park.

Kids can visit Santa in his cozy home in the park from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to share their Christmas wishes.

As for the Twilight Christmas Parade, it begins at 5:15 p.m. People are encouraged to sit or stand with family and friends as the floats and trucks pass to toss candy to everyone. Consider bringing camping chairs, snacks, and a warm beverage to fully experience the fun to be had in our community.
