Audition for the CHS Winter Guard This December!

Rylan Fields, Sandscript Author

The Color Guard is only one of the many parts of the Trojan Guard, but when the marching band season ends, they keep those flags swinging in their Winter Guard season! The Winter Guard, a branch of the Color Guard, performs as a standalone group during the winter months when all the other performing groups aren’t in season. They perform their dance to background music, swinging their flags and rifles to the beat and rhythm. Their season starts December 5th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, when interested students can attend the first pre-season ‘Bootcamp.’ The ‘Bootcamp’ will teach students everything they need to know for the upcoming season. The second ‘Bootcamp’ is on December 14th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm and will help students prepare for auditions on the same day. It costs $600 to be a Winter Guard member, and payments start with $100 due January 4th, $250 due February 4th, and $250 due March 4th. For assistance regarding the Winter Guard or payment, parents and students can contact Mr. Christensen at [email protected]. The Winter Guard welcomes anyone willing to join their 2023 season!
