The Chesterton cheer team has officially announced the dates for their 2024-2025 clinic and tryout dates. The high school team is coed, comprised of both guys and girls. There is a JV team and a varsity team. The junior varsity team cheers at home JV football games, and home JV girls and boys basketball games. The varsity team cheers at all varsity football games. Additionally, they cheer at most home games for the girl’s and boy’s basketball teams, as well as a select number of away games. Both teams also compete at UCA competitions.
The clinic dates are April 9, 11, 16, and 18. Clinic locations may vary but will all take place at CHS from 5:30-7:30. At clinics, important tryout material will be taught. Additionally, there will be lots of fun stunting and learning at these clinics!
The tryout dates are April 22, 23, and 25. Clinics and tryouts are of course open to all incoming freshmen-seniors! There is also a mandatory athlete and parent tryout meeting on April 2 at 6:30 pm at CHS.
