Big news is happening in the solar world. On November 19th, the Beaver Moon lunar eclipse will happen, a large event considering it will be the last lunar eclipse for the year. It is called the Beaver Moon because the full moon normally takes place around the time that beavers are getting ready for winter. The moon may even take on a reddish hue, due to it passing through Earth’s shadow. The difference between a partial lunar eclipse and a full eclipse is that the partial eclipse is when the moon is noticeably darkening, while the full eclipse includes the stages before, during, and after the darkening.

The partial eclipse will happen for about 3 hours and 30 minutes, while the full eclipse will happen for about 6 total hours. The length will make it the longest partial eclipse in 580 years. For America, the visibility will be excellent. The eclipse will begin at 12am CST and end at 7am CST, though the partial eclipse will take place at 1:15am CST to 4:45am CST.

This moon may bring intense shifts and changes to your life, as the universe uses lunar eclipses to shift your path and forces us to evolve. As we approach this large event, you may feel a bit of electricity in the air, as though people are on edge for some major unknown event. This eclipse may bring endings, turning points, and revelations into your life. Lunar eclipses activate lunar nodes. Lunar nodes are mathematical points between the Sun and the Moon that are critical in astrology. The lunar nodes are determined by mathematical points where the moon’s orbit crosses the “ecliptic”—the apparent path which the Sun takes around the earth.

If you are one of the four zodiac signs that will be most affected – Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Leo – you may come face to face with something important soon after. This moon will take place in the grounded Earth sign of Taurus, which means that the moon will be coming in line with the constellation of Taurus. It will also be the first eclipse that will take place on the Taurus-Scorpio axis, meaning that with moon will be in Taurus and that it is Scorpio season. All this means that this axis concerns your possessions (Taurus) and how you choose to share them (Scorpio). You may discover yourself setting new boundaries, exploring new hobbies, and making changes in your life.

Whether or not you’re celebrating this event or sleeping through it, it will be magical and definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
