Chesterton High School’s prom, “Lost Under the Lanterns,” will take place on May 2 at Duneland Falls in Burns Harbor from 5–10 p.m. The evening promises a mix of tradition, celebration, and unique student-led touches.
Tickets are $45 per person and will be sold online from April 6–24. All tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable. Students planning to attend should purchase early, as no tickets will be available after the deadline. Tables of 10 are available; please purchase together to ensure seating preferences.
Dinner is included with the ticket and features garlic herb chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, alfredo pasta, mixed vegetables, salad, rolls, dessert, and unlimited drinks. Entertainment for the night will be provided by DJ Arrested Sounds, along with a photo booth from Joyful Photo Booth.
This year’s prom also highlights contributions from CHS groups. The Japanese Club will create origami decorations, while Mr. Lambersie’s Building Trades classes are designing koi fish displays to enhance the theme. Senior class royalty will be crowned following dinner.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and close promptly at 6 p.m. A breathalyzer test is required for entry. Formal attire is expected; jeans and hats are not permitted.
To attend, students must be present for the full school day on May 1. Guest forms for juniors, seniors, and approved guests (up to age 20) and in good standing are available in the AP Office.
With a full evening planned and meaningful student involvement, prom 2026 aims to be a memorable night for all who attend.
