The Weeknd Album “The Highlights”

The Weeknd has released his new album called The Highlights. The Highlights is the second most popular album by The Weeknd. It was released Feburary 5, 2021, and follows the release of his fourth studio album “After Hours”, hits first greatest album in Japan. He released his new album in advance for his performance at the Superbowl halftime show. The album is composed of his songs from his three Billboard 200 number one studio awards. The songs from The Hightlights album included; “Save Your Tears”, “Blinding Lights”, “In Your Eyes”, “Can’t Feel My Face”, “I Feel It Coming”, “Starboy”, “Pray For Me”, “Heartless”, “Often”, “The Hills”, “Call Out My Name”, “Die For You”, “Earned It”, “Love Me Harder”, “Acquainted”, “Wicked Games”, “The Morning”, and “After Hours”. The songs “Heartless”, “After Hours”, and “Blinding Lights”, are based on 1980s vibes. The lyrics for “Blinding Lights” seemed to touch on his on-again, off-again relationship with Bella Hadid, and he’s spoken about the song’s connection to drunk driving, too.

The Weeknd has also announced that his tour After Hours would take place in 2022. It was originally set in 2020, but now postponed til January 14 in Vancouver, Canada. Dates from Los Angeles, Berlin, Germany, and the After Hours World Tour will conclude in London on Novermber 16, 2022. The new and improved tour with 39 additional concerts, has been pushed back to next year in efforts to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
