The 2024-2025 yearbooks are just now being handed out, and we all have a chance to enjoy them. Last year, a lot of stuff happened: we had awesome wins at matches, to the dynamic duo that passed notes in class, and to that one teacher’s class you loved. The theme of the 2024-2025 yearbook was “Hear the Year.” With a retro vibe and music to inspire the whole time, it brought everyone together. It showed a view of student life through music and Trojan spirit. Sprinkled with student quotes and smiles, the yearbook really does show what school was like last year. With photos from sports, prom, class, and even outside of the class, the yearbook gives us all a chance to look back at last year with the 206 pages!
Mrs. J’s Yearbook class did an amazing job putting the book together. Some of the more notable features are the senior quotes and the student spotlights. Some of the more memorable senior quotes are, “The squid will ink if it feels threatened,” by Evan Hibshman. Random, but nonetheless makes you laugh. There are so many other quotes in there as well that just make you wonder, “How did we graduate high school?” So many students were highlighted to where they’re going after high school, and so many more were highlighted for their achievements.
The school photos taken at the start of the year are a great basis to see how much people have changed. From the fall sports photos to the prom night photos, you can watch as everyone grows and matures. Or even people’s pets, such as on page 156 in the yearbook, someone’s cat is shown being an absolute star. You can watch the progression of the athletes as they go from pre-season to playing. It’s also a good reminder of how you and your bestie’s styles have changed so much.
So, what if you just now realized you didn’t order one? Don’t panic; just go see Mrs. Goodman if you want to buy one. She’s located in the Tutor Lab right next to the library. They cost $75, and you can pay cash or check, but checks must be made payable to CHS. While it may seem like it costs a lot more than your usual book, it’s worth it in the end. You can’t buy back memories years later, so you might as well cherish and remember them with an awesome yearbook while you can! Also, remember to buy this year’s yearbook; you wouldn’t want to forget the best years of your life!
