Amelia Arnold is in 9th grade at CHS. She loves to read, do anything art-related, and also likes to camp and hike.
If she could trade places with anyone in a movie, it would have to be Belle from Beauty in the Beast, the reason being “I’ve always wanted to wear her dress and the (other) characters seem very interesting to talk to.” Arnold said.
If she could describe her personality as a color, it would be yellow, “I feel like I’m very happy and yellow is just like a very bright and cheerful color.”
If she could throw any book away, it would have to be her 8th-grade math book. “I hated that thing, It was heavy and it caused me to crash out,” she explained.
On top of that, if she could create one invention, it would have to be a water bucket splasher to wake up her brother.
It’s about to be Halloween, so of course we needed to ask about this fun holiday approaching.
Amelia’s favorite candy is Skittles because they taste really good. She has already been to an event that has had trick or treating, but still plans on doing more on Halloween at her family gathering, and is dressing up as Ellie from The Last of Us. She prefers fun Halloween movies, like her favorite, Hocus Pocus. Arnold explained to us why Hocus Pocus is special to her, saying, “I started watching it with my grandma when I was little, and now when I watch it, it makes me feel closer to her.” We also asked her if she thinks that The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie, and she said that it is definitely a Halloween movie.
Thank you so much, Amelia, and have a Happy Halloween!
