Welcome music lovers! You’ve probably come to this page in search of something new, or to see what bad music I have to recommend! Today, I’m going to take a dive into an older British group, Blur.
Some history of this group first! You guys know the group Gorillaz? Well, that actually was formed after this group by Damon Albarn. He’s the lead singer, by the way! They formed in London in 1988 (1). They have nine albums as well. The members are: Damon Albarn for vocals, Alex James for bass guitar, Graham Coxon for saxophone, and Dave Rowntree for drums.
So, let’s get into their music!
First off, my favorite song ever, Song 2, is so good for a quick energy raiser! From their album Blur. I love putting this one on full blast! It’s about life’s problems and how it’s hard, but you gotta enjoy it.

Some other great songs are Girls and Boys, which is about love! So for those of us romantics, it’s pretty much telling us to be careful and to actually love someone. It’s nice, though, because this is Britpop, and Blur is mainly rock, so everything is upbeat. There is also Charmless Man, about a guy who is lonely and is not that nice, and always wonders why he is alone.
Check out some of their stuff sometime! Hope you learned about an awesome band!
