On December 19, the math department will host the annual Slider-ule, a celebration of sliders, the holiday season, and faculty camaraderie. Faculty and staff bring in beverages and sides, and Mr. Bogner secures the sliders. Teachers stop in the math lounge throughout the day, keeping track of slider consumption and enjoying time with one another before the semester break.
Years ago, Mr. Zach Manoski (math) was crowned ultimate Slider champion by consuming 30 Sliders in one day. Past contenders have included Mr. Kauff (German) and Mr. Nallenwag (social studies). Mrs. Otto’s (math), current organizer, favorite part of the day is “being in the room with the Christmas lights and music and the staff all hanging out. It’s so cozy!”
Who will be crowned champion this year?
Here they come!
