On March 7, the CDT placed 2nd in the AAA Kick category at the IHSDTA North Regional Competition, hosted at Lake Central High School,  earning qualification for the IHSDTA State Finals on March 14. In addition, the Trojans were crowned Regional Champions in the AA Jazz category for the second year in a row.

The Regional serves as a qualifying event for state competition and showcases teams in categories such as jazz, kick, pom, and hip hop, with performances judged on technique, execution, and choreography.

    “We have practice this week, and we will work very hard.   We will clean parts and rehearse again,” said sophomore Annaliese Coppler.

    “It’s going to be close competition,” explained Mallory Billings, 1o.

     “We beat Munster by 0.08 [at Regionals],” furthered Coppler.
